Pastor Robert E. Collier Sr. was born and raised in the Church of God In Christ. He served faithfully under one pastor for 32 years. He received his training and development under the late great Dad J.M. Boulden, whom was one of the great pioneers of this grand old church. Pastor Collier served as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Supt., Y.P.W.W. President, Chairman of Finance, Deacon, and Assistant Pastor to Dad Boulden.
In January 1987, after the demise of Pastor J.M. Boulden, Pastor Collier was appointed as interim Pastor of then Helbig Chapel C.O.G.I.C. In memory and respect to the late pastor the church was renamed Boulden Memorial C.O.G.I.C..
In March 1987, Pastor Collier received his pastoral appointment from Bishop A.L. Thomas Sr., to become Sr. Pastor of Boulden Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Under Pastor Collier's leadership the church as been and is being blessed.
In early 2008, Pastor Collier revealed to the church a vision the Lord has given him to erect a new sanctuary. The church has been blessed to have the property readily available to build upon. Pastor believes with the help of God we can and we will build. One of Pastor Collier's favorite sayings is, "With the blessings of God we will go where we have never been and do what we have never done and if we go where we never been and do what we have never done, then we will receive what we have never had.
Pastor Collier has been happily married for over 37 years to he lovely wife, Lady Donna M. Collier. They are proud parents of 2 sons, Robert E. Collier Jr. (Akesa Collier), and Min. Zay J. Collier Sr. (Noel Collier). Pastor and Lady Collier are also proud grandparents of Le'Darrius, Zaria and Zay Collier Jr.
